Introduction

Aghern House Stud was bought in 2002 by John Peet and since then we have been running a Foaling Unit and a Boarding facility for brood mares. In 2005 we moved our foaling unit from Sapperton House stud and now are preparing foals, yearlings, and mares for sales. There are 75 stables on 100acres of top quality limestone land.The stud farm is located in the heart of the horse industry in county Cork, neighbouring Rathbarry stud and very close to The Beeches stud and Castle Hyde stud.

At the end of 2003 an Equine Hydrotherapy Spa was installed. It has been taking injured horses for rehabilitation ever since. Treatments that the Equine Spa is suitable for treating include tendon injures, jarring, bruising, and cuts.
